Role Overview:
​
The Communications Associate will play a key role in documenting and reporting the impact of EHF’s initiatives, sourcing and creating content that showcases the organization’s work, and driving communication strategies to engage stakeholders. This role requires strong collaboration with various teams, including program staff, partners, and local stakeholders, to ensure accurate and impactful storytelling and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and Execute Communications Strategy
-
Develop and execute a multi-platform communications strategy and plan
aligned with EHF’s vision and values.
-
Ensure that the communications strategy amplifies EHF's message and values
across relevant channels and audiences.

Support the development of messaging and positioning for EHF’s programs
and initiatives.​

2. Content Creation and Management
-
Create and manage all communications and marketing content across
different platforms, including newsletters, website and social media.
-
Collaborate with program participants, local youth, teachers, and community
leaders to gather stories, updates, and insights.

Lead the effort to source and create relevant content for EHF’s communication platforms.
-
Edit and create engaging articles, case studies, success stories, and other
content that highlights the impact of EHF’s programs.

3. Digital Communications and Marketing
-
Implement online communication and marketing activities, including
managing all social media handles, the EHF website, and SEO efforts.
-
Track the effectiveness of various campaigns and make course corrections as
required to ensure optimal engagement.

Develop and implement strategies to increase the online visibility of EHF’s
work and impact.

4. Documentation and Reporting
-
Prepare detailed quarterly and annual reports for internal and external

stakeholders, including partners and funders.

Liaise with workstream owners and project leads to gather accurate data and
insights for the reports.

Document best practices, lessons learned, and case studies from EHF’s
programs and community projects.

5. Stakeholder Engagement
-
Build and manage relationships with educational institutions, youth groups,
and other relevant stakeholders.

Organise and facilitate workshops, seminars, and meetings to share program
updates, research findings, and success stories.

Ensure alignment and effective communication across all internal teams and
external stakeholders.
​
6. Support Across Other Vertical Operations
-
Provide support to the program and operations teams across other verticals of
the organisation, ensuring seamless communication and reporting.

Assist with internal communications to maintain consistency and clarity
across departments.
​
7. Quality Assurance
-
Ensure that all content and communications materials are accurate,
high-quality, and aligned with EHF’s objectives.
-
Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the quality and
impact of documentation and communications efforts
​
Key Qualifications:
​
-
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Development Studies, or related field.
-
2-4 years of experience in communications, content creation, or a related role
-
Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
-
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external
stakeholders.
-
Experience with social media management, content strategy, SEO, and digital
communications.
-
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and
deadlines.
-
Passion for education, youth empowerment, and community development.
-
Knowledge of the Eastern Himalayan region and local languages (preferred).
