Role Overview:
​
The Senior Curriculum Design Specialist will play a key role in shaping and enhancing EHF’s training and educational offerings. This position is responsible for guiding the team in creating innovative, non-traditional approaches to learning that move beyond the classroom and are rooted in best practices from around the world. A major focus will be on mentoring and nurturing the capacity of team members to design and deliver effective, engaging, and impactful curricula.

Key Responsibilities:
​
1. Curriculum Design and Development
-
Lead and support the team in designing a modern, engaging curricula for EHF’s
youth programs.

Develop non-traditional learning approaches, moving away from traditional
classroom models and incorporating experiential and participatory learning methods.

Research and integrate best practices from other sectors and initiatives, such as
mentorship programs for marginalized communities, into EHF’s curriculum.

Develop and integrate M&E frameworks within the curricula to ensure effective
tracking of metrics of growth and learning

2. Team Capacity Building
-
Mentor and guide team members to enhance their skills in curriculum design and
development.

Lead capacity-building workshops and one-on-one sessions to support team growth
in delivering impactful, innovative training programs.

Provide strategic input to help the team think critically and creatively about the
curriculum and program design.
3. Best Practices and Innovation
-
Continuously explore global best practices and innovative approaches in education
and mentorship that can be adapted to the needs of youth in the Eastern Himalayan region.

Act as a thought leader within the team, challenging conventional approaches to learning and bringing fresh perspectives.

Develop strategies to make EHF’s training programs sustainable and scalable across rural areas

4. Nurturing and Mentorship
-
Mentor team members and create a nurturing environment where creativity and
innovation are encouraged.

Foster a culture of collaborative learning, where team members share insights,
feedback, and strategies for continuous improvement.

Support the development of structured mentorship programs within EHF to engage
and inspire young people.

Key Qualifications:
​
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum Design, or related fields.

5+ years of experience in curriculum design, ideally within a nonprofit or education
setting.

Experience in non-traditional educational methods, with a focus on experiential
learning, mentoring, and capacity building.

Proven ability to mentor and develop teams, with a nurturing and supportive
leadership style.

Strong understanding of global best practices in education, with experience
adapting them to local contexts.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work
cross-functionally and support multiple teams.

Passion for youth empowerment and community-driven change.
-
Familiarity with the Eastern Himalayan region and its socio-cultural context is a plus.
