2025-27

The Challenge:

Young people need cybersecurity awareness, while gaps in reporting support can hinder responses to cybercrime.

What we did:

Conducted interactive campaigns in two rural schools using examples, demonstrations, assessments and discussions; helped a victim formally report a cybercrime case.

Results & Achievements:

Over 300 students were reached and assessed. One school awarded a felicitation certificate; EHF funding supported delivery.

What We Learned:

Budget constraints and gaps in cybercrime support highlighted the need for accessible awareness and reporting mechanisms.

Next Steps:

Expand towards over 1,000 students across 5–7 schools; consult students beforehand, refine the curriculum and explore advocacy for support infrastructure in other Darjeeling blocks.
