The Challenge:

Students reported fear of public speaking, low confidence and limited opportunities to practise communication.

What we did:

Conducted surveys and institutional engagement; raised approximately ₹11,910 from two contributors; held Express at Kalimpong College; initiated collaboration with Kalimpong Reads; conducted a government high school orientation and survey.

Results & Achievements:

Approximately 30–35 students attended Express. Participant feedback indicated increased confidence and encouragement to express themselves.

What We Learned:

Permissions, scheduling and participation constraints limited activities at several institutions, reinforcing the need for coordination, adaptability and perseverance.

Next Steps:

Conduct the government high school communication workshop once dates are confirmed, and develop the reading collaboration.
