The Challenge:

Students need greater understanding of the everyday experiences and barriers faced by persons with disabilities.

What we did:

Conducted awareness sessions in two schools, researched the local context, developed educational materials and assessment tools, and connected with stakeholders including Hope School.

Results & Achievements:

Sessions reached students in two schools and established relationships for further engagement.

What We Learned:

The team developed research, communication, planning and stakeholder engagement skills, with adaptability needed during implementation.

Next Steps:

Pursue further collaboration and engagement with the disability community.
