The Challenge:
Understanding local mental health knowledge and perceptions is needed before designing awareness activities.
What we did:
Completed surveys at Rang Bhang Forest Basti, Rang Bhang Higher Secondary School and Ghoom Jorebunglow Degree College; organised responses, prepared assessments and presentations, and coordinated with stakeholders.
Results & Achievements:
Surveys were completed in all three locations, providing insights for planning and establishing community and institutional relationships.
What We Learned:
An institution raised concerns about programmes without adequate follow-up, highlighting a coordination issue during the survey phase.
Next Steps:
Conduct the mental health awareness programmes planned across the three locations.
